Created entirely in Photoshop, using a Wacom Intuos 4 large tablet. Mostly painted (default photoshop round brush) with a few building textures thrown in (my own photographs, taken in Bristol, UK and then shrunk down and twisted this way and that) plus a sky from one of my own photographs, which has been manipulated loads. Took about 1 month to do, mainly weekday evenings.
Siberia is the name of the organization that controls the city. This was done for a short film. Animation would be added later i.e. vehicles, lights etc.

Hello, This is a nice piece.

One thing caught my eye is that the difference of detail rendering between high buildings at the far back and the slums' huts in front.
The scene gives a lot of detail even in the distant buildings despite the atmospheric perspective, yet the slums are rendered more crude. I am sure this is intentional to an extend but imo; this devides the image in to two technically.

The attansion and detail could be carried to the most front side of the scene; to the slums too and more detail and clear rendeing could be used while relaying the crude, disorganised and filthy setlement/conditions it suggests.

Being able to percieve a single light source from a sky-screaper at right back side, yet being left dubious of detail from huts is too sharp difference. Left side front could use some detail-lift :) And the piece would become more striking and more technically balanced.

Keep up the work.
